The replacement of a 1.5km section of oil-assisted cables has recently been completed as part of Electricity North West ongoing commitment to Environmental Improvements.
The works included Horizontal Directional Drilling to install new cables under the River Goyt. EDES involvement included design assessment of cable ratings to verify the sizes of cables required and management and co-ordination of the cable jointing works.
