Outline Project Description
Design, supply and installation of a twin circuit onshore 132kV cable system for the 402MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm in East Anglia. Joint Venture project between Statoil, Statkraft and Masdar which will invest £1.5bn in the wind farm.
Carillion have been awarded a £30m contract for the UK’s longest onshore wind farm connection measuring 47km, ie 288km of 132kV cable and accessories.
EDES Involvement
EDES provide electrical design services for the cable route. Design work includes determination of all parameters for :
- Cable rating calculations
- Cable pulling tensions
- Topography and profiles
